In 1979 Mike Vitow arrived at Cultas Lake with a suitcase and some wonderful recipes from New York City where he grew up. J.Beethovens’s Pizza opened it’s doors on May 18th of that year and has pleased thousands of people since. In March 2005, J.Beethoven was purchased by Najib Abunnadi to carry on the 26 year old tradition of J.Beethoven’s Pizza. Why J.Beethovens? At the time Mike was considering a name and he was watching the movie “A Clockwork Orange” when Beethoven’s music was featured, and Mike likes Beethoven’s music. Mike had a friend who is an astrologist and suggested the letter ‘J’ for good luck, and that’s how the name came to be.
